Thanks. --Amir E. Aharoni 16:02, 25. Jul. 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your hint. I have corrected the spelling mistake. Regards --Marbot 14:54, 18. Aug. 2008 (UTC)

Why is there a long space followed by a single period at the end of this page? --Metropolitan90 00:55, 18. Aug. 2008 (UTC)

I think there was no special reason for this. Thus I have just changed it. Thank you and best regards. --Marbot 14:56, 18. Aug. 2008 (UTC)

Just a question: Is there a special reason, that you speak of dutch and not of german in some parts of the article? For me it's sounds strange somehow --Schiffsratte 21:31, 3. Nov. 2008 (UTC)

To keep it short: No. The English translation of "Pennsilfaanisch-Deitsch" is either Pennsylvania German or Pennsylvania Dutch. That is why both versions may be used. Best regards --Marbot 21:53, 3. Nov. 2008 (UTC)

I can't find a way to update the English FAQ page. I have moved the information on many of the links to a new web server, so all the geocities links should be changed to: http://home.ptd.net/~tconrad1/dutch_main.html (others need same URL) - der Tim

Hi Tim. Thanks therefore. I just missed your pages weeks ago. Wouldn't you help us writing this Uffguckbichel? --Xqt

But I thought the Amish didn't have computers...[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Put a   in the middle of 225 000 and 20 000. Or, better yet, since this is the English (Amerikaanisch) not European FAQ, just a comma. —Wiki Wikardo 05:30, 17. Matz 2010 (UTC)

P.S. Maybe pdc: Wikipedia should have times be in ET by default, not UTC.

In what is your comment related to? --Xqt 17:17, 17. Matz 2010 (UTC)
In the But I thought the Amish didn't have computers... section of the article, it reads: “Approximately half of the Amish and Old Order Mennonite population of over 225 000 is under 18 and it has been estimated that approximately 10% do not join their respective churches. This amounts to around 20 000 speakers over the next two decades.” There is no non-breaking space character holding those numbers together, so it can read “Approximately half of the Amish and Old Order Mennonite population of over 225
000 is under 18…” and “This amounts to around 20
000 speakers…” The page is blocked so I cannot fix this myself. Probably, though, being as a comma is the most common thousands separator in North America, the spaces should just be replaced with 225,000 and 20,000, not  s.
Also, why list times in UTC if PA Dutch speackers are concentrated almost entirely in Eastern Time? —Wiki Wikardo 08:24, 18. Matz 2010 (UTC)
I've fixed the number formatting. Changing the UTC time, you should start a permission request or announcement to the community at Wikipedia:Gmeeschafts-Portal. I would support this. Xqt 17:58, 18. Matz 2010 (UTC)
